Someone asked him why he chose Preston, ID. He said it was because they got to know Rich Stewart’s family. I don’t know them, I only know of them. The entire family has served in the military and now the father is a farmer in Weston, ID. Glenn said they let him cut one of their alfalfa fields and he said people probably thought he was drinking because the lines are so crooked. He got weepy (which is normal for him) when talking about Cache Valley. He said it is a safe haven and will be a safe haven for people more and more in the future.
Love one Another
Someone asked if he could only tell people one thing what would it be and he said Love One Another. Later on, he added “To get offline” but then made it more specific by telling people not to let their kids play video games at all but specifically those games where you shoot people.
Joseph Smith
He said he held his extermination order (I think it was a different one than the one that was issued in Missouri from Gov Boggs.) in his hands about a month ago and on the back it was written “Do not retaliate..(there as more).” He said the jailers made him write it on the back of the extermination order. Glenn said that toward the end, Joseph had his brother speak more than him because he was embarrassed because so many of his teeth had been knocked out. He said we portray Joseph Smith all wrong in our LDS movies. He is portrayed as all gorgeous and put together and eloquent (Glenn kind of pranced around the stage) but he was in the heat of it and beat up all the time.
Watchtower
Around 9 years ago he was reading in Ezekiel about the men on the watchtower having a huge responsibility to warn others. That the blood of all those who they should warn is on their hands if they don’t spread the word. This seems to be his motivation for what he does for a career.
Need the Lord
Someone asked how he kept from getting hardened and how he would suggest we avoid being hardened by the world. The is really paraphrasing but he said to make sure you always need the Lord. He seems to fiercely guard his relationship with God. He always wants to have the Lord with him so he seems to fight to stay worthy of his presence.
